I see many, many people quoting Buddha in terms of judgment—how we will be more spiritually advanced if we one day learn to live without it. Of course we should know better than to judge people on things that don’t matter, but we have every right—and in fact a responsibility—to use the kind of judgment ONLY sentient beings have, to alleviate suffering.
The idea that judgment as a *whole* is beneath the only beings on the planet that actually have the capacity to use it any meaningful way, is accepting full-on anarchy, and dare I say, a complete perversion of what Buddha meant. Are you so sure you don’t need judges, or even laws, for that matter? Is it really beyond your spiritual evolution to judge pedophiles, murderers, greedy banksters, corrupt politicians and genocidal maniacs?
This reminds me of a recently circulating image, showing two old ladies holding a sign saying, “Fuck the cops.” Would it be as funny if the image were reversed? If the image was of two cops holding a sign that said, “Fuck old ladies”? (You’ll pardon my so-called French here).
Each and every one of you have been gifted with an intellect and therefore moral capacity that is the ONLY thing separating all of us from the animals. Neither of those signs are funny, and misunderstanding what Buddha meant, doesn’t change that. Good Judgment should reflect this truth back to us, and when what he said is *genuinely* thought upon, it will reflect more than that…

I understand how you feel about your fellow human beings, but I also understand that is the *intent* behind continual and generational programming bent on debasing the human mind. The shadow world takes every opportunity to reduce each magnificent human being to nothing more than a brilliant animal fighting over scraps–struggling to survive and exist.
There are some in the shadow world that call us the goy, and teach their children we have no souls. Others of their ilk refer to us as useless eaters. It is imperative to our survival that their sickness does not become our sickness. In other words, the moment we *also* believe our fellow man are unworthy of our love and respect, we have become just like them. If and when that happens, there are fewer and fewer people willing to stand up and protect the others–to teach them a better way–to remind them they are indeed magnificent creatures that have a RIGHT to participate in and direct their own future(s).
In reality, there are very people on this planet that intentionally cause the suffering of the billions of others. This is easily done when those billions no longer own their own minds, and genuinely begin to accept debased perceptions of self, sold to them by others. This sort of social engineering/perception management tactic turns the prisoners into their own, willing jailers.
Further, if we cannot come to realize, accept, and understand the sentient gifts we possess that separate us from the animals, our lives become the possession of others–we are *trained* to perform and behave in ways that no longer serve us.
Humans are wondrous, funny, kind, creative, intelligent, compassionate and fully capable beings–UNTIL they decide for *themselves* that they no longer are. This is the switch that is flipped during the debasement process. Once this is turned off, we are no longer watching, processing, and understanding what is being done to the monkeys in the cage, we ARE the monkeys.

Really resonated with your thoughts Crystal, however…animals-for the most part- do not inflict high levels of suffering on other sentient beings…
humans do this
humans are the prime cause of suffering on this planet: to fellow humans, animals and planet earth itself.
humans also factory-farm and create murderous abattoirs where animals are treated with little to no moral compass. humans create wars.
Sad but true, I have more respect for animals and plants than human beings
