Come on now, it isn’t all bad news…and there are far better ways to lift our spirits than watching funny cat videos. Surely by now most of you have heard the unbelievably moving song by Oliver Anthony, called Rich Men North of Richmond. At last count it had over 60 million views, and there’s good reason for that. While most have heard the song, fewer have likely seen the reaction videos to it, from people around the world. Personally, I can’t get enough. I’ve watched hour after hour of these, and they fill my heart and soul with incredible joy. See for yourself. All good people of the world want the same things, and there’s nothing more unifying than that.

There’s something really, really important happening here, and we’re going to miss it if we can’t find a way to be fully present for it. I think you’ll find it interesting, for lack of a better word—perhaps heart-warming—where these folks tend to stop the video to comment, what their comments are, and how many of them know exactly what the song is actually saying.
